C’est La Vie to the Old, and Bonjour to the New!

Hair is an essential part of your life. Whether you like it or not, you wake up every morning to a mob of messy strands putting up a frenzy on your head.

Instead of throwing it into a plain ponytail on a daily basis, its time to do something about your luscious locks, because they deserve better!

Hair for many is definitely the difference between feeling great, or feeling down.

On a bad hair day, when you have frizz sticking up from every direction, but you cant find that darn old hat you used to wear… you need to opt for Plan B. A new hairstyle. After all, hair needs some excitement in its life too! Treat yourself, to a new you.

2008 is erupting with a boom of darker, glossy colors, and sharp and sleek hairstyles.
The New Year craves shorter hair, to emphasize every fabulous female’s face. While many are frightened to take a deep plunge with a pair of scissors, starting little by little while enhance your hair’s look. Here are some options to spice up your current look!

The Bob:

The “bob style” has been popular this holiday season, for women of all ages, as worn by Victoria Beckham, Jenny McArthy, Rihanna, Katie Holmes, and more. This sexy look has given every bobette cut woman a sharp cutting edge appeal. Shorter hair individualizes your face, by drawing more attention to your features.

The Side Swept: Perfect for short, medium, or long hair.

Camron Diaz

If you are scared to get a whole new look, start with something simply, yet edgy, and easy to fix if its not how you imagined it.

Side swept bangs are easy to maintain, give you a daring look, and if you don’t like them, can simply be pinned back. By parting your hair on your more comfortable side, and cutting some gentle layers into bangs from above to below your brow, your face will gain a new stylish look without overcoming any extraneous changes. At first you will feel like they wont stay in place, but in just a few days you will see that by training your hair it will stay where you want it too.

The Luscious Layers: Conforms to all shaped faces.

Layers are a great way to give life to your fabulous face! With endless options of styles, layers can be cut around your face, towards the bottoms, in the back, or all around! By creating different lengths around the front of your face, your hair will be complimenting your facial features. If you feel it too risky to layer the front of your hair, start with the back, and see how your do suddenly changes from boring and plain, to fun, fresh, yet classy.

Sizzling Straight: For all lengths

Gwendal Paltrow

2008 yearns straight, sleek locks of love. Smooth strands will be overlapping those waves and curls of 2007, to bring in a clean-cut look. If you have curly hair, try something new this season, with the help of a flat iron.

Hot Hair Shades:

Light tones and colors are put behind us this coming year. Dark plush shades, like crisp chocolate brown, deep red auburn, and dark chestnut brown, make a long-lasting appearance. Rich inspired colors compliment subtle highlights, creating a fabulous sexy appearance.

While these trends are popular for 2008, it is imperative that you choose a hairstyle that you are comfortable with. Taking a risk is always exciting. Its just hair, it grows back!
