Flawless Skin

By Stephanie Shkolnik

With all the chaos going on in your life, you still somehow manage to put that touch of make-up on in the morning to feel fresh and alive.

Whether you are dabbing your luscious lashes with a bit of mascara, bronzing your cheeks with a shimmery gold, or adding a bit of spice to your look by mixing chocolate shadows and deep textures to illuminate your eyes… you put on your make-up in full effort to gain a crisp look that will carry you through the day, right?

Have you personally every purposely applied mascara to only your right eye, bronze only your right cheek, and shadow solely your upper right lid?

Just like you would not put make-up on half way, you must realize it is crucial to remove all your make-up at the end of the day!

Regardless off how horrible and stressful your day was, there are no excuses! Whether your boss threw a fit , your partner and yourself are in the most horrible fight of all time, or if its just 2 am and you have no energy to stand in front of the sink, you must wash your face!!

Without thinking twice, when you come home after that crazy day, simply do the following:

face

  1. Make-up remover! Neutrogena wipes are effective, quick, and easy. This will remove your make-up right away, even if you cant keep your eyes open!
  2. Wash your face with lukewarm water, and a liquid cleanser. Avoid soap bars and products with sodium lauryl sulfate, as these will irritate your skin. Softly pat dry with a fresh towel.
  3. Toning will allow you to remove any leftover residue that your face-wash did not take care off. Gently apply a cotton ball to your face and neck, covering all your pores.
  4. Moisturize: At night is the time to apply your anti-aging and wrinkle creams to soothe dry skin. Make sure your creams are non-occlusive, eliminating your chance of getting pimples and blocking pores. In the morning it is also crucial to apply moisturizer with sun protection (SPF 15 minimum), even if you are convinced you will not be in the sun.

Revitalizing Rituals:

Exfoliating is effective in removing the dead skin cells that are invading your skin. Never loose site that it is your face, and should be treated with care, even when you are removing dead skin

Face Masks are great roughly one time a week. For dry and sensitive skin, cream and gel masks will quench your skins thirst! For regular skin, mud masks are a great way to rejuvenate your face

When trying a new product be sure to test out the cream on a small patch of your body other than your face, to avoid allergic reactions.
