25 Easy Ways To Cut 100 calories or more.

To lose 1 pound of fat in a week, you have to eat 3500 fewer calories.

  1. Choose 1 1/2 cup of fresh grapes instead of 1/2 of cup raisins.  (Calories Save 125)      
  2. Drinking 2 glassses of nonfat milk instead of whole milk   (Calories saved 140)  
  3. Drink diet soda instead of regular soda (Calories Saved 145)
  4. Choose steamed shrimp over fried. (Calories saved 122 per 3 oz)    
  5. Eat chocolate sorbet instead of chocolate ice cream. (Calories saved 140 calories per half cup.)
  6. Skip the crust on apple pie. (Calories Saved 100)  
  7. Opting for tofu instead of meat will significantly decrease calories.    (Calories Saved 100)
  8. For that chocolate craving, choose the snack size bar rather than the regular size bar.  (Calories Saved 100)

  18. Have a salad before lunch. New research shows that someone who eats a large salad before a meal consumes 125 fewer calories during that meal. Add a salad to every lunch and lose 12 pounds in a year!    
  19. Skip the cheese on your sandwich or next burger. An ounce of cheese packs 100 calories.
  20. Say bye to bagels. Have a whole-wheat English muffin or two slices of whole-wheat toast for breakfast instead. You’ll save over 150 calories.
  21. Coctails don’t have to be complicated, learn to simplify. Fancy, mixed drinks like margaritas, Brandy Alexander or Sea Breezes can pack in 300 calories or more per drink. You’ll save about 100 calories by having wine, champagne or beer.
  22. Skip super-premium ice cream and have a frozen fruit juice bar to save 100 calories.
  23. Enjoy a lettuce-pocket sandwich. Have a sandwich wrapped in large red leaf lettuce instead of pita bread to save over 150 calories.
  24. Cut back on protein. Cut back by just 3 ounces a day on lean meat, poultry or fish, since you can have too much of a good thing - which is then stored as fat.
  25. Swap a veggie for a carb. Substituting one serving of vegetables (one cup raw or a half-cup cooked) for half a cup of cooked pasta or rice or a handful of pretzels twice daily will save you over 100 calories per day.

      2 lbs. ground turkey
      2 cans (black label) chili beans-I get the ones with jalapenos in the bottom!
      2 cans rotel (you can pick mild or hot)
      2 cans progresso low sodium minestrone soup

      You cook the turkey, dump the rest in, heat and eat. I eat with low sodium crakers (5=1pt)

      1.5 cups = 4 points. It is so wonderful. Has become a staple in my house.
