Guide To Being Sexy While Staying Classy

By Stepania

A Feb Female's Guide To Being Sexy While Staying Classy

Whether you are dressing for work, brunch, a day party, or an evening affair, incorporate some of these fun tips into your wardrobe to achieve a sophisticated, yet soft look.

flower

Florals: Soft prints of flowers accent your appearance subtly, giving you a feminine touch. Wearing a floral top is easy to match with plain pants. If you are going for a causal look, match with a deep colored jean and a ballet flat, giving off a easygoing yet fresh statement. Dressing up for the evening? Throw on a pair of platforms, to get a sexy, yet not overbearing look.

While materials like tulle can be expensive, look for chiffon or other sheer fabrics.

When wearing floral dresses, keep your jewelry light. You can wear dangly earrings, but do not have a heavy necklace on, as this will take away from the look.

ruffles

Ruffles: Dark, light, or bright, ruffles can be worn in a variety of ways. Try to go for a structured material that holds its ruffles on its own, giving you a "Don't mess with me, I'm serious" kind of look. Colors like navy and red are bold and beautiful. For those who are not a fan of color, beige is also a strong shade.

The ruffles have a lot going on, so do not try tussling your hair so that it too makes a statement. Girl- ruffles on your shirt or dress is enough, you don't need it in your hair! Also, keep the jewelry light, by going with a pair of diamond stud earrings, or simply not wearing any jewelry at all.

Avoid: Multicolor ruffled tops, dresses, and anything else you can think of!

Mixing: One of the easiest way to bring life to an outfit without being overly risky, mix and match styles. Mixing straitlaced fabrics with silks, and even cotton, mixes textures, and gives flavor to your look. By mixing neutral shades like beige, and mocha, with olives, taupe's, and brown's, you will stand bold, yet oh so pretty.

For example, wearing a blazer with a dress gives expression to a soft look. Adding simple gold jewelry to a neutral mix can also make the outfit speak sophistication.

bracelets

Color: This season, color is huge! Making a statement through bold shades is popular this Spring. Patten leather color purses are beaming popularity in department stores and private boutiques.

clothes

If the handbag is too bold of a statement for you, opt for multi colored bangles that match many complexions. Bracelets are a small part of an outfit that can make a big statement, so why not try and see what it does to you?

Avoid: Don't go to crazy with bangles. 2-4 is plenty, any more and you will look like you are selling them off of your hands.

clothes

Also, stay away from other bold jewelry when wearing bangles. They look best when worn alone, so take a break from your usual gold or silver bracelet you were on a daily basis, they won't run away.

    • Good info! I agree with the curly/ wavy hair and ruffles. Hair is a absolute accessory & should definitely be worn to compliment an outfit.

    • I just came back from Quebec, where the UpBra will be manufactured.  I have to tell you, I was a bit skeptical.  But I have never seen so much precision and detail go into any piece of clothing, let alone a bra.  I was able to road-test the UpBra, and was suprisingly pleased.  Now, I’m a 36B, and not one to wear underwire, much less a bra as complicated as this.  I couldn’t believe how comfortable it was and how well it worked.  By using the mechanism on the strap, I was indeed able to lift my breasts to new heights and create cleavage I’ve never seen (on me) before!  I wore it most of the day and all evening and never, ever felt the mechanism inside the cups.  I never got sweaty or sticky.  I did, however, got a few appreciative glances.  I think I’m going to like this new  adventure.

UpBra lifts so well it doesn’t need pads.  It’s 100% you.  Ordinary bras squeeze you in or push you up over the top.  Only UpBra’s unique lifting action lifts UNDERNEATH and AROUND your breast.  so, instead of you having to fit the bra, the bra fits you.
