Who says you can't make babies after 40?

While many women choose to have children in their late twenties, and throughout their thirties, there is nothing more empowering than a woman giving birth in her forties.

The talented, beautiful, sexy icon, Halle Berry is currently   pregnant with her first child.  This fabulously forty female is more excited than ever to bring her first baby into this world.  After giving her acting career full attention for over seventeen years, and fulfilling her career dreams, she has finally settled down with Gabriel Aubry, and is more excited than ever to bring a child into this world.

Like many women who have chose to live their lives to it's fullest potential, Halle Berry has decided that this is the best time for her to take the attention off of the chaotic life she has lived in for several years, and nurture and love someone she created.

One of our very own, Irene, is in her fabulous forties, and a mother of a five year old boy. She states that, "My husband and I were diagnosed with   'Empty nest syndrome' .  After my kids left the house, I found myself missing what I loved to do most- spend time with them. I felt lonely.  While my husband and I traveled, and played sports, we did not feel complete. I was looking through pictures of my two kids, Alex and Sara when they were small, and became unhappy that they grew so fast. In America there is the saying:  When kids leave the house and the dog dies, then life begins.  Well, when my kids left the house, the dog did not die (thanks g-d) but it was no life."    

Irene did something to fulfill her feelings of having children. She gave birth to a boy, and describes herself as, "Much more wise and smarter to raise a baby now, than when I was 20."

Irene's advice for fabulous forty women thinking about having a child?

"Go for it girls! Stop being selfish! When my son Elie hugs me, tells me he loves me, and kisses me ? what else can compete with that?  It is the most amazing feeling. Every day is a joy that I look forward too, and not too a retirement plan, but too a great future."

Waiting to have a child when you are over forty is an empowering decision, proving your dedication to fulfilling your life. Whether you have started or are in the midst of accomplishing your goals in life, bringing another soul into this world, is a self-less act of love. To be able to create the product of you and your partner, is something unachievable by anyone else.

Celebrate your life and the things that you have accomplished.  

For those without any children , this is an amazing way to bring joy to your life, by nurturing and loving your own.  For those that already have children, if you have the time and the love to give why not share it with a child?
