What can be done to make sure Britney Spears makes it to her Fabulous 40’s? There has got to be a way to let this poor child know she is loved and still adored by others. She does not need to do all of these crazy things to get attention. I personally would love to just give her a hug, let her cry it all out, and let her know it is going to be OK. She needs support, not endless media attention. Something needs to stop before something drastic happens!

I have never suffered from it. . but from everything I’ve read, Britney Spears is in the throws of untreated Postpartum Depression

She had 2 babies, one right after the other, and I bet she never got help for her first bout of Postpartum and went right into baby #2.

Unfortunalty we all hit rock bottom before we allow people to help us.. or even want to help ourselves. Lets hope Britney is close.

It’s horrible that such a popular icon turned into a mess. I cant say that any other person in her shoes wouldn’t go crazy.

She has the resources available to her, so hopefully she will get help.

This is so typical of “star” children. It’s sad to watch, but until she is ready to help herself, I doubt that anyone can help her.

I have had it twice. The second time, I completely withdrew from all of those around me and was lost in despair. The thought of putting myself in the position of having all of that attention, being judged, and seeing my distorted face plastered everywhere would have been the furthest thing from my mind.

I get from her a mania of sorts. An inability to relate healthily and normally to her environment unless it is chaotic and focused on herself. I can’t figure out what triggered this public display unless it was the decline in her career due to the time she took off to be pregnant. Her whole life has been work.

She really seemed to want those kids. But they were probably intended to fill some void in her life, as many young women believe when they get pregnant. But babies only take, and if you are already operating at a deficit, you run out of everything very quickly and cast the children aside in self-preservation.

    About this author

I was born and raised in South Florida, but I was recently blown West to Dallas, TX :-). I recently had the honor of contributing to a book authored by Rachel Hamman – “Bye-Bye Boardroom: Confessions From A New Breed of Stay-at-home Moms.” So, yes, I get to stay home with my 2 wonderful children and husband. It allows me to search for more of my creative juices. Because of that, I am having fun with my card line – www.liftmeupcards.com. My goal is to have my cards throughout the world one day, and then I can afford to let my husband enjoy being at home too. The one thing I have realized is that everything I need to know I did learn in kindergarten.
