When was the last time you did a Ta Dah? A ta dah is when you throw your arms up in the air and proclaim, TA DAH! Think of a young child doing just about anything…my son would jump off the couch with his superman cape on and yell, TA DAH! It means, I did something great! Well…if you have survived up until now, you deserve to do a TA DAH! So go ahead right now…get up where you are…think of the best thing that happened to you this week and say, “TA DAH!” Now, follow that with a big endorphin rush grin….the kind that shows all your teeth, crinkle up your eyes, and make the biggest silliest grin you’ve ever made….don’t worry about your teeth showing…you want them too!
There…now that we‘re all sufficiently endorphined up…
I learned about the ta dah/grin thing from a woman named Amanda Gore. www.amandagore.com She is going to be my new best friend, she just doesn’t know it yet.
Seriously she has some of the best mood enhancing ideas I have ever heard. I watch her videos, listen to her CD’s in my car, and here is the key….I actually implement what she says to do.
I don’t know about you, but I’m always wanting to enhance my life. You could say I’m on a quest for life. ooh…I don’t think I’ve ever said it out loud…sounds good to me though.
I have this list of things that I always want to do, but somehow I end up letting life crowd out doing the things that are good for me…like exercise, drinking water….eating on a regular basis…stuff like that.
The other day I was thinking about those things…and wondering how I could possibly get myself to just do the things I need to do every day without letting anything get in the way of those important things. I’ve tried to do lists.
One to-do list idea was that I would sit down in the morning and write my list. It was so long it was impossible to even look.
Another to-do list got lost….where is that little green sticky note?
Yet another to-do list was actually a to-did list. I would write down all the things I knew I would do..then I could check it off and feel great! I would write things like, “get out of bed” (although for some this is a major first step to the day and often quite difficult – oops…I’m still in bed…but it’s made..sitting on top of it..still in my sweats though because as soon as I stop distracting myself with this laptop I’m going to jump on my eliptical machine.)
What I’ve now developed is a To-Do’s Today To Get a Ta Dah list. I created a screen saver on my computer that says that phrase, then has my basic Ta Dah To Do’s. Everytime I sit mindlessly at my computer, I think of these to dos. Mine include, drink water, eat, hug your kids, work on your business, and exercise.
I’d love to hear your Ta Dah’s for this week. What’s the greatest thing that’s happened to you this week?
Ta Dah!
What a wonderful idea.
I think thats a great way to alleviate stress and take your mind off of things.
I like the ta dah list, i am going to try it!

I randomly came across this site and I think it’s great. The community is wonderful and I feel like I have somewhere to go now when I need some support. Signing up and writing my first post made me Ta Dah!
