I have Crohn's disease and have been fighting with this illness for 15 years ~ After a visit with my surgeon yesterday, the time has finally come - I was told, I will need an ostomy. I was devastated, and am so very scared. Any kind words or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
On a better note, I still have dreams, hopes & a passion for travel. I have entered a video contest via utube for a Bahamas cruise, so that I may be able to give my family back a little of what they have given to me - They are my rock, they have held my hand, loved me & have held me up when I could fight no longer.
If you would be so kind as to take a moment & vote 5 stars for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Debi this is such a cute video- you are a very strong woman, and it is wonderful to see that you look beyond the bumps in the road you have encountered.
You def. deserve this trip, and I think you will get it!
I loved the heart in the sand with your names in it, and your son is so darling.
I have never been swimming with the stingrays ( I think that’s what it was), but it looks like so much fun!
Keep us posted.
I envy you for being so positive.
If only the world were full of people like you who could look at the more positive things in life, this world would be a better place.
I enjoyed the video very cute.
Hee-hee
I was just looking up books on Ostomies, and came across one called: I would like to buy a bowel please! I got a kick out of this title.
Thank you so much for your support, love & votes I will keep my fingers crossed, I win this trip for my family.
Much love to all, and enjoy your weekend

~...I am a person who is passionate about life, love, and spirituality. I love to travel and immerse myself in other cultures. I've a love for learning and an appreciation of the beauty in life. I enjoy meeting others who share similar interests and mindsets. A girl with an insatiable curiousity about the mysteries of life. I often seem rather aloof at first contact, but if one takes the time to know me, I'm quick to warm to a person and I love connecting with others. Fun-loving, Playful, Impulsive ... I Love a good giggle!! Well acquainted with the fragility of life, born out of living with a chronic illness (Chron's disease)--which on a positive note, has forced me to slow down and stop to smell the roses. I live with awareness and compassion for all …I enjoy the simple things in life—though certainly not beneath indulging myself in guilty pleasures (or should I say Guiltless Pleasures*!). I love to savor the sweet things life has to offer and share them with those around me…Impulsive to a fault at times—I go to extremes—I strive to find a happy middleground…(very difficult!)...Very spiritual, yet I do not ascribe to *one religion in particular. I respect all religions based on Kindness and Compassion. I admire any person who lives with compassion, and Actively puts love into action. I adore spending time with my loved ones, pets, and having fun with friends (they are my chosen family). Devoted mother to my children, and *very happily married*...I love to Travel, it thrills me! At times, the problems of the world weighs heavily on my mind (and heart/soul), and I’m given to bouts of brooding. But for the most part, I celebrate life, and keep dreams, and hopes for a kinder, gentler world in my heart, always…
