I have been out of town for awhile, but I am so happy to say that while I was gone, my little Greeting Card line received some amazing exposure, and I am so proud of it, I just had to share…
First of all, NBC showed us LOTS of Love! Kristi Nelson from the NBC Dallas affiliate did a great story on our cards. So great, it actually aired on over 15 other NBC affiliates across the country (including WPTV in West Palm, KING5 in Seattle, WSLS in Roanoke, VA, and WTVJ in Miami) and on CNBC too. Kristi made my job so easy, and she was absolutely wonderful. To check out the link to her story, please visit http://video.nbc5i.com/player/?id=235653
Then, one of Dallas’ premiere magazines (D Beauyty) did a nice little spread on the cards with a very nice pictorial. This is what they had to say…Dallas girl Camie Dunbar saw an opportunity and seized it. With the popularity of cosmetic enhancement in this town, what better way to say “congratulations” than with a greeting card designed specifically for plastic surgery post-op? Lift Me Up cards combine Dunbar’s sense of humor with the artistic creations of Matthew Santamarina, resulting in lighthearted messages such as “Congratulations on the twins!” and “You’re so vein!” Just try not to chuckle too much. Your laugh lines will thank you.
And finally, the Colorado Springs Gazette had everyone chuckling. It was a short blurb, but I heard from a lot of people in that area saying it took them awhile to catch their breath for they were laughing so hard.
WOO HOO. Hopefully, it will keep on coming :-).
It will snow ball from here on….
Congrats and BIG Hugs
Proud of you girl!!!!
I love your cards, they are a great idea. I am plastic surgery free- but I love the feature they did on you. They did a great job composing it, and on NBC, that is a big deal. Congrats.
I love the piece they did too. Believe it or not, I am plastic surgery free too, but when people ask me, I say, “Yes – don’t I look great for 70 :-).
What a darling idea. Are you always making new cards? Where do you sell them? Congratulations on the feature, you must be thrilled, i know i would be.
Thanks Angie – I am always trying to keep my creative juies flowing. We are in a few spas, plastic surgery offices, and stores around the country, but I mostly sell online too at www.liftmeupcards.com.
I was born and raised in South Florida, but I was recently blown West to Dallas, TX :-). I recently had the honor of contributing to a book authored by Rachel Hamman – “Bye-Bye Boardroom: Confessions From A New Breed of Stay-at-home Moms.” So, yes, I get to stay home with my 2 wonderful children and husband. It allows me to search for more of my creative juices. Because of that, I am having fun with my card line – www.liftmeupcards.com. My goal is to have my cards throughout the world one day, and then I can afford to let my husband enjoy being at home too. The one thing I have realized is that everything I need to know I did learn in kindergarten.
