Big, little, simple or extravagant, what have you done lately to have fun?

Simple: My hubby and I LOVE grabbing the picnic basket and having romantic or simply relaxing picnics in the wine country. We can be at one favorite winery in 10 minutes, others are a bit farther. AH! I love living in CA!

Really small thing: I made pina coladas (virgin for the kiddos) and placed little straw umbrellas in them, turned on some fun party music, and somehow a Sunday afternoon family BBQ became a party!

I enjoy going to the beach and eating breakfast with my husband as well.

We went hiking the this past weekend on the most enormous hill I have ever encountered, and then enjoyed some drinks in the hot tub afterwards.

Small things like that make me happy.

Oh the joy of discovering those little things that makes us happy! My fear of mounting a bycicle has disappeared and my hubby and our six years old and I ride after work in the evenings! We love cooking together. I love to sit down with a book when I can. My six year old and I have been spending a lot of time together working out, walking, hiking, and even the exercise dvd! She’s a trooper!

My husband and I will be going to Ireland this summer. It’s a business trip for him and I’m so excited that I get to go along! I’m really looking forward to seeing the beautiful countryside and visiting castles.

Donna-I think it is is great that you have overcome your fear by facing it. Spending time with your daughter is so much fun especially when you can also be active.

I forgot to mention that my husband and I are planning a trip to Italy next year and I am so excited I just can not wait. We have just discussed it and will be booking tickets soon but I am thrilled by just thinking about it.

Sunday, four of us “girls” went to the Asparagus Festival in Stockton. We started with homemade Swedish pancakes and all the trimmings and Mimosas (from oranges from our backyard). Then four hours at the festival in temperatures nearing the century mark, we shopped, ate, drank, walked, shopped, ate, drank, walked—- well, you get the picture!

On the way home we stopped at two of our favorite wineries and did some tasting—-and more shopping!

What a fun day with fantastic forty-plus friends!

    Yana: LOL!

    slowe: I wasn’t invited….??!! :( Sounds like you all had a great time! ;)

kimmarie and kendal: Woo-Hoo!!! How cool!!!! Please tell us about your trips when you return.
