This Mother’s Day was an extra special one for me! My hubby took me out to dinner on Friday night to begin my Mother’s Day celebration. I cheated on my low-carb diet and shared dessert with my husband, but I am not going to feel bad about it because it tasted AWESOME with all the chocolate & caramel flowing over the ice cream and chocolate cake! Then on Saturday, my hubby treated me to lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. Afterwards, he took me shopping and bought me a new sun dress. Later that day, all of my four sisters and I went over to our 71 year old mother’s house to
celebrate Mother’s Day with her. All of us girls pitched in and made a delicious meal for our mom. Then we gave our mom gifts and enjoyed each others company. On Sunday, my husband made me a delicious omelet for breakfast and sent me cute Mother’s Day e-cards from the computer. After church, my nine year old daughter gave me her home-made Mother’s Day card. It was really cute and colorful! What really impressed me was that my 16 year old son offered to take me and the entire family out to lunch. In addition, my teenage son made me a card, which had the nicest words in it! Once we returned home from the restaurant, my husband gave me the best gift of all. He scrubbed my floors and cleaned my house! Yee Hah! If it couldn’t get any better than this, my husband made my mother and I a terrific steak dinner! I must admit, this Mother’s Day hit the charts for me as one of the Best days of my year!
HOW ABOUT YOU? WHAT DID YOU DO ON MOTHER‘S DAY AND DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE?
oh my goodness you had quite the pampering weekend!
I can tell that you husband really loves you and cares so much about making you happy, because you obviously deserve it!
Mothers day is a great way for some family bonding time, finally where everyone can put their hectic lives aside and enjoy each-others company.
Like you and your sisters, my sisters and I also got together and prepared a dinner for the family, with my mother of course, she insists on partaking in the cooking festivities. 3 dozen flowers, 2 cakes, 4 salads, 3 meat dishes, 2 sets of grandparents, and hours of loud noise and music later, we were stuck with quite the mess in the kitchen.
It was well worth it, another Happy Mother Day : )
Sounds like you had a blast Dana.
I love ALL family holidays, and usually spend them busy cooking, cleaning, and serving. Afterwards I’m tired but happy and it’s always nice to have all of the loved ones around.
I am a 44 year old, outgoing, self-motivated, Christian mother of three children, ages 9 1/2, 12 1/2 and 16 1/2. This November, my husband and I will be celebrating our “20TH” wedding anniversary. We were high school sweethearts and fell in love! Many years later, we got married in the Little Church of the West Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. For over 20 years, I have been a Licensed Cosmetologist specializing in Aesthetic Skincare, Makeup Artistry and Spa Treatments. I have a passion for pampering, I am a true makeup junkie and I love working in the beauty industry! Another passion of mine is writing, which I had always loved since I was a young girl. Presently, I am pursuing article writing for publication and I enjoy writing about topics pertaining to inner beauty, body image, spa treatments and finding our identity in Jesus.
