“Life is like a box of chocolates… you never know what you‘re gonna get.”
Tom Hanks quotes
DESIRE is what motivates us towards everything that matters, everything we ever wanted, and everything that makes a great life.
So many desires,
We all want to understand ourselves better, to live more fulfilling lives, to have a richer experience of who we are and what we are here to contribute. All of us want to feel joy, to be happy. And the truths, most of us really want the same things out of life:
We want to love and be loved; we want to have relationships; we want full bellies and slim waistlines; we want to enjoy financial securities; we want our children to be happy and safe.
We want success , to make a difference, we want to eat chocolate, we want to sit and contemplate, we want to shop, we want companionship, we want best girlfriends to share and be ourselves with, we want safety, we want children, we want a grand new novel to read, we want the perfect lipstick, we want a good man who is our soul mate, we want peace, we want to dance, we want an ice-cold pop, we want a dozen red roses, we want to learn, we want to left alone, we want to swim in the ocean, we want to hike a mountain, we want Prada shoes, we want to share, we want to love.
We want and want and want.
Deep down, we all crave to understand the meaning of our lives. “What is my purpose”? But soon we all grew up and got busy. We had to pay the rent, make sure the kids were dressed for school, pick up the groceries, be attentive to our marriage, nurturing our family, chauffeur the soccer team, and pursue our careers. So out of exhaustion, we simply stopped asking the profound questions that once fascinated us. But do we have to? Don’t you continue to wonder? Why I am here?
Why things happen the way they do. Where you got your brain, your thoughts, your desires, your emotions, the people you know, and the talents you possess, how all of this fits into the larger picture of the universe, and how you can find lasting fulfillment. These are the spiritual rules of the game of life.
But what is spiritual? The word means different things to many different people.
One great question underlies our experience, whether we think about it consciously or not. “What is the purpose of life”?
I often find myself thinking the same question, what is the purpose of life?
I have found it is to love, to laugh, to live, and to enjoy every moment we have.
I would agree whole heartily with you, Stephanie. :)
LOVE, LAUGH, LIVE CONSCIOUSLY…Every moment!
Purpose means different things to different people.
To me, it’s all about making a difference in other people’s life.
It so easy to do, sometimes a phone call to someone who is sick, or a birthday card to someone who is lonely, or a small present to someone who feels blue makes their day and transforms their lives, and makes me happy.
Great post Christine.

Thank you, Yana. I measure my Success by Significance. I believe it is about making a difference.
Cheers!
Christine :)
My purpose for living is to be a blessing to others. If I have put a smile on someone’s face or helped out in a much-needed situation, then I am fulfilling the purpose God intended for me. Too many people feel their lives aren’t fulfilled unless they‘re happy first but the secret is to bring joy to others because that joy comes right back to you!
