Here's the actual stoup that comforted hubby and I due to empty nest syndrome and colds:

2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
2 C barley pilaf
2 stalks of celery, chopped
2 large carrots, chopped
1 onion
1 24 oz jar of spaghetti sauce
1-1/2 C chicken broth
1 tsp minced garlic
½ tsp seasoned salt
½ tsp ground pepper
Hot sauce to taste, which is optional

In a 3 quart heavy pot-heat sauce, stock, garlic, salt, pepper and vegetable until they come up to the boil.  Add the chicken and barley and simmer for 10 minutes.  Serve!

Did I tell you that was easy or what?
