The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will take place on March 7 at Hollywood’s Kodak Theater, in a live ceremony hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. I always loved watching Billy Crystal, but I think that Steve & Alec is an interesting combination that will give us a few laughs.

I saw blind side and loved the movie, I don’t think anyone has a chance against Avatar this year, but Sandra Bullock did a fantastic job playing the role, she gets my vote.

Who would you vote for?

I think your right, I believe Avatar will win for Best movie and James Cameron will win Best Derector.

Best supporting Actress will probably be Mo‘nique

I don’t like any of the supporting Actors, so I really don’t care who wins there..lol

    • I’ll have to go for Sandra Bullock.  I have not seen The Blind Side yet...but I will.  But from what others have told me...they say it is the best movie they have seen in years.  I like her anyway.

Avatar...heard it was awesome in the graphics department....

So...depending what you are voting for...content...of a story...or the makings of the movie....they are both up there for me.  But...I guess it will help to see them first....,LOL

    • I'm hoping they give Gabourey Sidibe in Precious  the award because she was such a natural and played the part so intensely that it seemed to go beyond any "act." I hope Star Trek will win for special effects because when the planet Vulcan imploded, I just sat there saying, "awesome!" It takes a lot to make me say awesome!

I bought the CD of the soundtrack for Sherlock Holmes because I caught myself shaking my tail feathers to it!

    • I was surprised the movie Nine didn’t get any nominations other than Penelope Cruz. She was great in the movie.

I haven’t seem many of these movies so I’ll just sit and be entertained that evening with the show.

    • I have seen 4 of the movies that are nominated. They were all good but in oh so different ways..... I just don’t know.....

Since the movie is the vision of the director I’m gonna skip picking a director for tha same reason as above...

Best Actor Jeremy Renner since I seen Hurt Locker...altho I would like to see Morgan Freeman win for Invictus

Best Actress Gabourey Sidibe for her unbelievable portrayal of Precious ( thinking about this movie still makes me want to suck my thumb and go rock in a corner somewhere)

I won’t even guess on the others tho.... too many good choices this year!

    • I’m not a fan of Tarentino, I think he need psychiatric help.

I didn’t like Glorious Bastards, it was a typical Tarentino film with so much unnecessary violence. My husband didn’t like it either, but we both LOVED Blind side, and I loved Julia and Julia, just because I like to cook and I love Meryl Strip
