    • Happy times:
      1. Meeting eldest daughter’s new boyfriend for the first time in April and finding out he’s a perfect fit in this odd ball family
      2. Youngest daughter came to her senses later in April and left her no account boyfriend and moved home.
      3. Getting a job in January, going full time in November.  Working with some really great people.

      Rough spots:
      1. Still being unemployed in mid-January
      2. Water heater died in February
      3. Youngest daughter so far behind in car payments, I had to pay them or let her car get repossessed (lesson learned, NEVER co-sign for a kid)
      4. Teenage son proves his lack of common sense on a nearly weekly basis!

    • Happy Times:

        - Selling our home in the mountains and moving back to Northern Virgina (and civilization)  - Finding a church that has an active Sunday school program and LOTS of kids  - Finding a new job in my field and a pay increase  - Getting my first ever bonus at work  - Spending my first Christmas in YEARS with both my brothers and their families AND my aunt Bea, my uncle Mario and Aunt Lulu.  We have NEVER spent a holiday with my aunts and uncle before  - Reconnecting with old friends  - Buying a new car  - Going to a rock concert  - Loving my job for the first time in YEARS!!  - Being the most fit I have been in years.

    • Sounds like many good times for all, hope the rough spots end for you, T as quickly as possible.

Our sad moment was when my BIL passed in June.  It was a difficult time for the family and Christmas this year was quiet at my SIL house, but we were together, that is what counts.

My happiest moment is when son finished school and got a great job as a personal trainer...he is loving it and teaches boot camp, is a trainer/coach to small groups of young kids, besides training clients on a one to one basis.

We are now looking forward to 2013.
