This Saturday evening in Irvine California I am going to my 30 year class reunion. I just can’t believe that it’s been that long. Can’t be! The class has been buzzing about it for months now.
I’m feeling confident and excited until today. Today I saw an old friend of my daughters and she was a sweet as can be but her mom was just a raging meanie! I’m a server at Applebee’s as my 3 part time jobs keep me young. I admit being a server isn’t what I always dreamed of becoming when I eventually grow up! But I had the misfortune of serving this woman today. Seemed like everything I did she made me feel inferior. I haven’t felt that way since I lost 180 lbs.
So now I am hoping I can forget today and know that she will not be at my reunion and I will be around people that I grew up with. PEOPLE THAT LOVE ME :) Tomorrow is another day!
I hope you have a wonderful time at your reunion! My 20-year gathering is this year and so far it looks like I’m gonna be a no-show.
Most of the folks I would want to reconnect with I either already have (amazing thing, the internet!) or have already posted they won’t be attending anyway.
Maybe I’ll reconsider at the 30-year mark!
