Yes, it happened. My high school class finally had our 30th reunion. Took so long coming-especially since we have had a reunion every 5 years since graduation(had to uphold our party reputation.) So why was this one so much more fun than the rest? Since getting into my 40’s I seem to care less and less what others think of me. I still embarass myself from time to time-but am able to laugh about it right then and there. I spoke to people I hadn’t seen or spoken to since grammer school-even took pics with these groups. Everyone seemed genuinely excited to see everybody else.

Of course there was still the clique in the corner-“the popular girls“, they seem a little pathetic still keeping themselves separate and exclusive. Some of these ladies I attended grade school with and we exchange updates. “Married?,kids?,career?”

Only was able to dance one dance due to ongoing back problems-not many dancing anyway.

After speaking to one former classmate about seeing his home featured in a local magazine-he said he didn’t remember it.
“Maybe you‘re married to a different wife now?”
“No,I’m only on my second”
“I thought you were on your fifth?”
“No-what number husband are you on?”
“My first-29th anniversary tomorrow”
“OMG-you two should be on Dr. Phil”
He has a twin brother and in all honesty between the two of them I think there are five marriages-so I was on the mark-sort of.

At the end of the night a tall, very handsome man walks up and inquires my name. I had a huge crush on him early in high school and he never spoke to me. We hugged briefly(seemed to be preferred way to greet old classmates)and I told him how my life was going. Before I had the chance to ask about him-he said “very nice to see you again“-long,slow handshake-then husband came up and saved me from myself;)
