Okay Fab40 girls, as we all know the site went down today. While it was off and on, we all at some point attempted to log on only to find out that it just wasn't working.
I just have to know and have to ask, do you thoughout your day only log on when you get a spare moment or have you seriously incorporated Fab40 and made it a part of your life?
Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on how you look at it) it's now a part of my life. I'm not brave enough to admit this to my other friends or family memebers yet because they just won't be able to comprehend how one could make a website like this a part of their lives. I actually feel anxious if I can't get to it.
I had to know, I had to ask. What is your answer?

This site definitely quickly became a big part of every day. I am a very busy person but found this site and what can i say...I just cannot stay away. This is an incredible group of intelligent , seasoned women and i need to come here! Thats just my 2 cents!

I agree with Teeky, this site is my addiction! It’s the first site I log on to after I check my emails, then I check all through the day.
Plus I find myself making references to my Fab40ers in conversation! :)

How did we ever survive?
I make this site a very regular part of my daily routine. The minute I come down stairs in the morning, I turn the computer on and see what I missed since I’m in the last time zone in our country. And, it’s the last thing I do in the evening right before I get the stink eye from my husband - because I’m on the computer so much.

Though for the most part I can spend only 15 minutes or so on Fab40 at a time, I do log on anywhere from 5-8 times a day.
And oh how well I know the stink eye! As may not be the case with the rest of you, though, my husand is totally serious in his protests about how much I’m on the computer. I respond to him in a mild, kind voice, saying in a nutshell: “Brother, I’m not doing anything to dishonor our marriage or you. I’m nearly 44 years old, the kids and the house are all taken care of [and you will be too in a minute if you can be patient! :)], and this is something I do and will continue to do for ME!”
im not an addict yet but i do look forward to chatting with you ladies on a day to day bases... you guys are so mature,well spoken,and smart.. im truly bless to have you as apart of my life. i feel that i can tell you things that i wouldnt dare tell anyone else. i feel that you guys want JUDGE me, and i was right! all you do is give me helpful advice.
I’m only able to get to it on the odd day off, BUT I’m on it all day long once I’m there. One of these days I’ll get my blog going!

Well...for someone who does not have an addictive bone in her body...I’m gonna plead the fifth on this..and not even truth serum..or injections are gonna make me change my mind..Oh ok..seeing that you asked so nicely..I have totally neglected house and home..lost about 15 lbs..because I refuse to get up and fix something to eat..and for those of you who don’t know..I am the very last person who could afford to lose 1 lb much less 15..
But I’m not addicted..I just don’t log off at all until 3am for the most part..nope..no addictions here...

I check out Fab40 when I get home from work,after dinner and before bed.I’m on the east coast,so 11 here is 8 on the west,so much goes on while I’m sleeping..ok,sometimes I check the site before work.lol. When do you have time to sleep,besides Doll of China,who snuggles up to it on the floor at night ;b luv ya Doll :D
Just because I wake up with fab40 on my mind and I log on even before I brush my teeth..and stay logged on till 3 am..does not mean I’m addicted...
I’ll bet I tried to log on 30 times for real! I even googled it to see what might have happened. I don’t think I got a minute’s rest until it came back up.
My addiction is fastly growing. I get only a few minutes in the morning to surf before leaving for work, I don’t log in, and the reason being, if I do, I know I would either be late for work or calling in sick, so my mornings are spent browsing and reading as much as I can. Since I joined the site, I have been working long hours. I work for an insurance company and this is one of the busiest times of the year for us, however, when I get home, I log in. Couple nights ago, I was up sitting in bed until around 3:00. My poor husband he starts work at 6:00, so he didn’t have such a good night, but like I told him, the guest room is always vacant.
Soulful40...LOL I have a couch you can lie on and tell me all about it...haha

Haha Choclatier!! Stink Eye?? I havent heard that since my grandmother passed! Thanks for the laugh for I know those eyes well. Soulful admit it!! Admitting it is the first step! Yes my name is Nancy and I am addicted. I havent started my own blog yet.... but its not because I dont think about it!! I think about it all day. At work, while I’m eating, while I’m in Memephis traffic ( twice a day and three times on Thursday’s!) and sadly to say I dream about what I want to blog or to ask all you wonderful ladies. I talk about you all like I KNOW you. Very scary to my kids and husband but they dont Dare to say anything to me about it because the “STINK EYES” come out and I let them know that in no uncertain terms that FAB and 4o is here to stay!!!!
And I am not ashamed to say I LOVE you ladies and this SITE!!!

i must tell the truth! lol i log on in the morning before i get ready for work.. now most mornings i do not post anything.. and i rush out the door only to punch in 2 minutes BEFORE i have to be there! LOL then i get on in the evening after the children are in bed, and i usually ( and i hate to admit it.. lol ) fall asleep infront of my comp! LOL

Over dinner each night he asks questions about the comments I get on my blogs, what other people are writing. He’s even got a lot of y‘all’s names down:
“How’s Lu and Linda?”
“Did Teeky see the picture yet?”
“Has Yana lost her mind??”
I say the best way to get away with the addiction is to get the hubby/partner addicted, too!
I used to belong to an online group for hip mammas. I was totally addicted to having a place to connect w/ so many like minded and supportive woman. We had craft exchanges thru the mail, music cd exchanges, I stayed w/ one when travleing with my family, visited another a couple of times when i was traveling up north in my state. Eventually my son became a teen and most members were talking about young ones. Now, I need a place for me with older woman. My partner is a woman 14 years younger...i just need a group of girls to chat about the reality of aging. i’m 47, chubby (used to be thin) face is sagging, arms are middle aged woman arms, i’m tired, peri menapausal, sex...eh, i’d rather eat or sleep. Very different from most of my friends in there 30’s.
I’ll be checking it out here to see if the vibe is what I need, hope so!
It is good to know that it is NOT just ME!!! I really have it bad. I log on first thing while the coffee is brewing...while I drink my coffee, all day, while I’m making dinner, and I’ve sat in bed with this laptop checking blogs and get disapponted if nothing is happening. Also, I finally got my husband on board with Fab40. He knows so much about this site and has learned to leave me alone because it’s not going anywhere.

I leave my house at 5:45am for work.From 5:30am until time to leave while eating my oatmeal I am scanning Fab40. All day at work I am plugged into my Blackberry. I can see which blogs and questions were responded to but can’t see who says what. It kills me that I can’t log in from work. So as soon as I reach through the door at 6pm I am fixing myself something to eat while on fab40. I’m always saying to my sister,my mother and friends.fab40 this and fab40 that.I wonder what happened today. This site is more addictive than soap operas. It is DEFINITELY a part of my life. I’ve met so many wonderful and funny people here. REAL PEOPLE with REAL ISSUES!

sunshine9...you are so right. My daughter created a facebook account for me and i never liked it. Thankfully, it was through facebook that i found fab 40. Now if I can just get their friends to stop requesting me as a friend. I’m old enough to be their mothers. lol, lol
My blackberry is constantly letting me know of new comments. I couldn’t get away if I tried. Why would I??
I have a facebook and my Fab40. I lke my facebook because it keeps in touch with my daughters, nieces and nephews but Fab40 is the one for ME. I too found it on facebook Teeky! Now all I have to do is convince my friends to join!!

I must be addicted somewhat because I found myself jumping up when I’d hear my husbands key in the door and acting like I’m doing something else. I’d keep the duster handy so I could pick it up and quickly like I’m only dusting the keys to my laptop.
He knows I’m addicted though. He only shakes his head, smiles and pretends right along with me now.
We have silently agreed to deal with each others addictions If he doesn’t mention my Fab40 fix I won’t mention his buying a lottery ticket everyday fix.

I was in Vegas last week and had to borrow someones laptop to briefly see what was going on! If I don’t get on at least once a day I feel like I am gonna miss something good!
