If you do business online, then sooner or later you run into the 3 things you must do before you go into a sales conversation: SMM (Social Media Marketing), SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing). The key to getting visible, driving traffic to your website and helping your conversion rates is: the skillful use of KEYWORDS. Here are the 5 business critical keyword uses:

1. Your elevator pitch
The short catchy phrase that is usually used to get the person you're conversing with to say: "Interesting, tell me more", has many names: elevator speech, sales pitch. When on your website ... you really need to pay attention to exactly what words you use because this can easily help you go up the Google ranking.

2. Your BIO
I keep reading all sorts of self-presentations by business owners on their site. And I know, for many this is very boring thing to do...Figure out what you're going to say about yourself. For others it's very difficult. In either case – often those bios lack in search engine substance. Instead, try to figure out – what are the key words that your target market is using and re-write your Bio using those words.

3. Your tags, metatags and website keywords
We all say we want targeted traffic to our website. Then, why don't we help it out? Choose as many words that your prospect might be using to search for a solution on the internet for whatever they are stuck with and since you happen to provide that solution, smart guessing their key words is what will get you the F*R*E*E traffic you're dreaming of.

4. Your sales page
Whatever I've already said about keyword uses, applies here. But there is more – whatever niche you are in there ARE key words that trigger your prospect's desire to buy and if you know how to play with words, why not buy from you. The quality of your sales copy is reflected in your conversion rates.

5. Your Complimentary Offer
As online business owners we all have something that we offer for free in order for out prospect to sign up for our newsletter. The key is: your description of the free offer has two main goals: to drive to action and to be persuasive. In both cases – the carefully chosen words always win the day.

And one last thing: your status updates get indexed by Google as well, so you might re-thing  how what you are posting is reflecting your marketing and how it is helping your business.
