It isn't a big secret – achieving healthy skin, regardless of your age, your skin type or your genetic make-up requires the similar type of care. Here are 5 practical tips to ensure your skin stays healthy always.

Tip 1: Protect Yourself From The Sun
It's a well known fact – the sun's UVA and UVB rays can lead to wrinkles, age spots, and rough, leathery skin. And, unprotected exposure can also lead to some types of skin cancers. Here's how to protect yourself:

1.Avoid the sun between its peak hours of 10 am and 4 pm
2.Seek shade whenever possible
3.Cover up with protective clothing, sunglasses and hats
4.Wear a broad spectrum UVA/UVB blocking sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30. Daily use will help to prevent wrinkles that may be caused by UVA rays. Choose from our wide selection of effective sunscreens including “Anthelios sunscreens.“[Link Removed]

Tip 2: Eat Well
A healthy diet, rich in fruits, vegetables, healthy fats and lean proteins provides the building blocks to good health and great skin. A varied menu will help deliver antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fats and protein necessary to ensure your skin always looks good. Avoid sugars and simple carbohydrates, which are thought to contribute to acne and problem skin.

Tip 3: Don't Smoke
In addition to damaging collagen and elastin, the skin's supporting network, smoking depletes the skin of nutrients essential to good health. It also narrows the blood vessels in the skin's outermost layer leading to decreased blood flow, which further impedes the delivery of nutrients. This is one reason why a smoker's skin often looks dull in appearance. The repetitive facial movements associated with smoking – pursing of the lips and squinting of the eyes may contribute to wrinkles.

Tip 4: Gentle Care
Hot water, strong cleansers and abrasive treatments can damage and irritate skin. Look for [Link Removed] Moisturize if skin looks and feels dry. Consider exfoliating once or twice weekly to get rid of rough, dry patches.
