I haven’t been on this site in ages and I’m sorry. Life is crazy and it would probably take ages to update everyone. Some of you are my friends on Facebook and get a glimpse of ‘things’ in my life. I’ll try to condense as best I can. [Not in any particular order].

Today is my birth daughter’s birthday. We‘re friends on Facebook (she’s friends with my son too). She has not replied to any of the communiques from either my son or myself. We know she’s super busy and try not to contact her too much. Essentially, she just doesn’t reply anymore. I tried to not take it personally, but it hurts. I’ve decided other than wishing her Happy Birthday, I’m going to back off. Maybe she needs time and space, so I’ll leave the next step to her. I tell myself that we don’t know what the future brings and can only be grateful for the wonderful contact we’ve had with call, letters and emails.

Okay, other stuff...

Dan and I just got back from our 8th wedding anniversary celebration in Virginia Beach. We looked at some ocean front (he wants to retire in 3-5 years) that’s in a good area since I would have to work for 10 more years.

We also are planning a beach trip for my 50th birthday since we can’t afford my dream trip of Europe (never been to Europe). Economy sucks.

My job is okay. I was hired as an employee after 1 year as a contractor, but took a huge pay cut in exchange for benefits like health insurance. I hope to be there for at least another year. Although I wish my husband was bringing in some money and I wasn’t the primary breadwinner.

Hubby’s eye never fully recovered from the second surgery. He has permanent damage in the site, but has learned to adapt. He’s still handsome as ever as a 63 year old who looks like he’s 40.

I haven’t been able to dance as much. Guess I’ll post one of my favorite pictures from recent.

I’ve started to have hip flexor stress problems and have decided to sign up with a trainer once a week to help me do specific strengthening to minimize future injuries.

Hope everyone is doing well and I hope to hang out with my Fab40 friends.
