I just talked to a sister here.  It is so weird to put a voice to a face finally.

I also had experienced the other way when I talked to a person on the phone so long and then finally met.  As if I have to put 2 and 2 together and let my brain match the voice to the face or the face to the voice.

Funny.  What do other says about your voice matching to your face?  Most people told me I have a high pitched and bubbly voice.  They said I sounded like a kid. tongue out

    • I talked to LeadingLadyTracy a couple of weeks ago and her voice sounded like a confident, business woman, as she is and yet comforting and soft.

    • I’ve had a strange experience with that. I had a business phone ‘relationship’ for years with our payroll person. We never met, and one day I said:  “hey we should be in person. I’m going to be in Old Town, how about lunch?” The result was shock when seeing the face behind the voice. The person I imagined looked nothing like what I pictured in my mind. It was so weird because the voice was familiar, but a stranger!

I’ve had people make stupid comments to me like, “oh, with a name like Maria I thought you’d be dark and short.” Maria is a very common European name and there are many, many fair skinned Maria’s in the world.

It’s funny how we have pre-conceived notions that sometimes get blown out of the water by reality! estatic
