A few days when I joined and wrote my very first blog, I was pleasantly surprised by the responses I got here... kind ones and even a couple of “tough loving” ones. I appreciate all the feedback.

I picked myself up and drew from the strength within, realized what I have overcome in the past, and started moving again.

I wrote another blog where I shared that I felt better, had started exercising again and was expecting more positive changes. The very next day, I had a fever and bad throat again - unbelievable. it is as if I am a punching bag... But I realized that my immune system was bad and worked on improving it. I felt much better today and went about the normal errands.

Today, I also got word from Teach from America - I have a phone interview tomorrow. I have prepared for it and will do a quick review in the morning. I’m taking a deep breath because I finally realized that I should get back into teaching - having taught in Malaysia for about 17 years and a year here in Atlanta. It gave me a great sense of self satisfaction as I helped to change lives and helped to mold future leaders. I still keep in touch with my students. I am excited.

Today was also a little different for me as I went shopping with my 17 year old son - I do this often with my 19 year old daughter though. Being a single parent, and both mum and dad, has been difficult, but it hasd made me strong. I am thankful also because my faith has helped me a great deal. Being with my son today was good and fun! We got a chance to bond and talk.

I will keep you updated. To those who responded to me, thank you , from the heart. It is in these little acts of kindness, that we touch lives. In touching one life, we ultimately touch other lives around that one person. Be blessed!!
