I’m still laughing at myself for this.

Yesterday I took the liberty of going in to work a few hours later than normal.  As I leisurely prepared myself for work I watched one of those court shows while putting my clothes out on the bed. I noticed the white blouse I had decided to wear was in need of ironing.

So I grab the iron, ironing board and the starch that was sitting next to the television (not its proper place of residency).  Nevertheless, I’m really enjoying the ease of getting ready for work and amazed at the stuff people tell on national television.  Nevertheless, the creases (hope that’s spelled correctly)in my white blouse are looking incredible.  I even imagined the black belt I would add to it around the waist for a little snazz appeal.  So I finished the blouse and decided my slacks could stand a crease or two (no punt intended).

I proceeded to turn off the iron, gave it a few minutes to cool off before returning it to its home (one of my pet peeves).  Now I return the iron, the ironing board and the starch.  As I place the starch can down next to the ironing board something caught my eye!  There sat a can about the same height and close in color to the can that I had so freely been using to iron my white blouse and slacks.

OMG!  Too my surprise you would not believe in a million years...I in fact had not been using starch (which was in its proper place of residency) but WD40!!! ROTF LMAO!!!!

OMG did that outfit reek of WD40.  Those clothes smelled liked I had been rolling in motor oil.  My bedroom smelled like your local oil change station.  OMG I couldn’t stop laughing.  I laugh all day yesterday.  When I arrived back home from work I couldn’t wait to tell my son (who is the comic in our family).  Christopher said “that’s what that smell was in your room!”  I fell out again laughing, this time Christopher was balling on the floor with me.

How could I do such a crazy thing.  That’s the craziest thing I belive I’ve ever done! With the exception of have four kids and getting married. (just kidding about the kids )

I had used the WD40 the night before and did not return it immediately to its proper place of residency as you can tell or as it smelled in my room.

This may not be all that funny to you but it sure did make me laugh yesterday, today and probably tomorrow.

Sometimes we just need a good laugh.  And who better to laugh at that yourself every now an again.  And always remember to return things back to their proper place of residency.
