I happened on this prayer a few lifetimes ago. It resonated with me in such a profound manner that I committed it to memory.  I have repeated this aloud, and in my mind, so many times and it never ceases to bring me back to my center, a place of calm knowing that everything is and will always be ok.

I posted this in 'self improvement' because that is the role it has played in my life.  The words "father" “god” "Christ" and “sin” has personal meaning to me that is not of traditional Christian belief. If this prayer resonates with you...use it in a manner that serves you.

No offense intended.

I do not remember the name of the book in which I first saw this prayer or even who wrote it.  If anyone is familiar with it and would like to post that info...please do so.

My father fashioned all of me
In his own image, perfect, free
If I'm not well it's not his will
He'll recreate me if I'm still
And trust him whilst he works within
To cleanse and heal me of all sin
For life is changed with in you know
Before results outside can show
So I must trust, be calm and pray
And know his strength is mine each day

Christ lives in me how can I fear
Mere human woes when he is here
With power divine to make anew
Each part that fails to function true
Dear god I give my life to thee
To mold as you would have it be
Dear god I give my life to thee
To mold as you would have it be
Dear god I give my life to thee
To mold as you would have it be.
