Love it

Don’t you just love stopping in the middle of what you‘re doing and taking an adventure? I do!

Yesterday, I thought I’d be spring cleaning, instead hubby said let’s go for lunch in a nearby town.

Along the way, we saw some beautiful scenery.  The country setting was serene with green pastures, cows, horses and wildflowers growing along the country roads.  We even saw a 1950’s blue/white Buick which reminded me of the 1955 Oldsmobile  my granddaddy owned when I was a child.

I spotted a garden nursery and made a mental note to ask hubby to stop me by there after our luncheon date. Lunch was delicious at an all-you-can eat buffet. I craved green veggies and ate lots of them! Please know that I ate a bit of meat and drank raspberry tea which is my favorite!

After lunch, we stopped by the garden nursery and I was in garden heaven! The owner was very friendly and helpful. She described the plants and gave helpful tips for growing along the way.

I bought a few plants! Assylum, tomato plants, purple iris bulbs and some dainty pink flowers. Sure glad I ask for a business card, so I can contact her for the name of the pink beauties!

What a wonderful road trip we had!

Love it

    • @Butterflyrose: That sounds like a wonderful day! happy

I love to go on outings like that, but we seldom do, because my dear husband works too much. He is a graphic designer - self employed - and he must work, when there is work to be had. That’s the way it is.

So I plan on becoming a famous writer (ha ha) - so that I can support him and take him to lunch in a nearby town... happy

My hubby and I have both worked hard, each of us for over 30 years and we decided to take early retirement.  I retired nearly 3 years ago and hubby retired a year ago. Now, we can enjoy the fruits of our labor in a more leisure manner.heart We stay actively busy now!

Do what you need to do, to get where you want to be is my mantra! You will be a success Mia ‘cuz you‘re determined!

An act of kindness is a gift given
