Sorry for the pun!  But in this part of the world, we‘re literally ‘plowin’ through.  Loads of snow that is still coming down & dodging the snow ploughs as they endeavor to keep the roads clear.

But the real “plowin’ through” I’m talking about today has to do with “Start” as the first act on the road to S.U.C.C.E.S.S.!  We can all the dreams & visions of what we want to happen, but without the “S” for “Start” - they will remain just that!  Dreams & Visions with no where to go.  Sorta’ like being all dressed up with no where to go.

Here’s something I learned a long time ago.  Mainly I learned it about myself & it’s equally true for those of us who are the world’s ‘dreamers’ & ‘visionaries‘.  We tend to dream large - have enormous vision for the future.  Where we fall short is in implementation.  If we never “implement” what we dream or envision - then nothing comes to fruition.  We‘re often the ones that let everything else get in our way.  If we have a very practical/realistic side, then we‘re likely to ‘short-circuit’ what we want by being “dream-critical“.

We all know ‘naysayers‘.  Those around us fond of saying, “oh that won’t work!”  But how do we handle a naysayer that is “me“?  Our own doubts, fears, self-criticizing nature?

I can’t say it enough!  To bring our dreams of SUCCESS to practical application and fruition - we must have someone who holds us accountable!

Call him or her what you will - I’ll call that person our “dream partner” or better yet, our “SUCCESS partner“.  A person who is both realistic/practical and one who sees our natural abilities, the skills we currently have as well as those we can obtain, and the other necessary attributes we possess that lead to the SUCCESS road.

And a person who will “lift us up” when the going gets tough or we allow our personal “self-criticism” to get in the way.

I love ‘eternal optimists‘.  I wish I were one, but I’m not.  The person we choose to partner with us for the SUCCESS journey must be a woman (or man) who is a “practical optimist“.  And one who sees the snares and snags on the path that we may not see.  Or worse yet - we see and make them a much larger ‘monster’ than they actually are!

So, if you are serious about achieving your vision of SUCCESS in whatever it is you want to pursue - START!  Start by putting on paper what it is you want to achieve that 'spells' SUCCESS to you.

Then run through your mental rolodex for the right person or persons who will “partner” with you to begin the process.

There’s just a few days left in January (thank God!), so the time to START is literally - NOW!  PURPOSE today to accomplish just ONE THING on your SUCCESS list. . . then go out - seek - find - and engage the 1 or 2 folks you need who will hold you accountable & see to it that each day. . . you START at least one thing toward the accomplishment of your dreams & visions for a bright and rewarding future.

So. . . amen to that!  (Means “so be it“!)

Be safe, be loved & make it a very worthwhile day!

Linda, a fellow journeyer
