Act Two

There’s something that’s not much talked about,
But, it’s quite a marvelous thing;
A woman ih her midlfe, has a second spring.
Her feelings start to blossom,
Old things are made new;
She feels a certain vigor
And a playfulness, too.
It’s a time when she comes alive, again.
It’s a joyous time for her.
The way she feels is so divine,
It makes her want to purr.
The reason I can tell you this,
My own experience is where it’s from;
And there is one thing I know for sure,
The best is yet to come.

    • Great poetry, Patricia.
      I just moved to Central Louisiana 2 years ago from California, what a culture shock.
      Even though I am of Southern roots, I had not lived in the South since I was a child. My family is from Northern Florida, Pensacola to be exact. My husbands family is from here (Louisiana)
      I love the sense of community here and the fact that everyone is pretty friendly. I would never move back to California, that’s for sure.

    • Wonderful! I used to write poetry, years ago. Most of it was ruined in a flood we had. Oh well.

      I’m also from the south. Born in Jacksonville Fla, but lived most of my growing up years in Pensacola, Gull Point. I’ve been in Kansas since I was 17. I’d love to visit there again someday.

    • Patricia,

      Great Poems. Have you ever thought of adding music to them?
      As for Let’s When I read it, I hear a certain melody.

      Creatively yours,

      Gina Venturini
