Do you have a (healthy and legal!) addiction?  You know, something that only to YOURSELF you admit this problem, but would defend to the end your right to have?

Don’t ask me WHEN my addiction, ahem! - collection - of handbags began, but I can honestly say it was fairly recent.  I’d say approximately 5 years ago.  Apparently, according to my husband, it has gotten “out of hand.”  Say WHAAAT?!!!  “These are beautiful designer bags, (I actually prefer, purses, excuse me) that I will pass down to my two daughters one day.”  At least, that’s MY excuse.  Oh, I could go and on and rhapsodize ad nausea um about my (say it with me, now!) COLLECTION, but let’s get this party started with some of yours!

      Collections are fun!

    • Robinesque,

My husband would tell you look at my closet and see if I have an addiction.

I  am like you with the love of purses. I will get a new one each year when I go to New York City. The best place in the world for shopping... But, my real weakness is shoes. OH my Gosh,,, The animal prints that are out in full force this year. I  have 4 different kind of animal prints shoes and still looking for more. White House Black Market has a zebra pair that is on my radar.... My son was making fun of me with shoes... He went and counted in my closet and I think his last count was 140 pair. Now, I know that is bad...But, hey like you said it is a LEGAL addiction.

    • See, shoes, I could never “obsess” about.  I only buy those when I need to complete an outfit to go to some big “to do.”  I’d welcome a shopping partner with a shoe collection of 140 pairs!  Impressive, DARLA5.  But a PURSE!!  That’s an everyday love affair!  Fendi and Gucci and Chanel, oh my!!!  (Is that shallow?)  SHOPGIRL1960 feels me.

I am only venting right now, because my husband has put me on some sort of “purse probation” indefinitely.  The promise is NOT, repeat NOT, to buy another purse - THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!  I mean, what do I strut through the airport when we go on our anniversary trip?  Oh, yes.  I have high profile “airport” purses.  Is it true that most women are eying other purses in the airport, or is that just me?  (I need backup.)  So, I get to bring out the big guns that don’t necessarily get taken out on a daily basis. (One large, burgundy, croc Fendi Spy!!)

Right now, I’m crushing on the Jimmy Choo Mahala in Black.

    • Girl, You and me and shopgirl1960 could do some serious damage... Instead of the Fab5...we can be the FAB3...

You take out that Fendi... those eyes will start roaming. But, let me tell you something... The airport people will be saying look at that gorgeous styling women. Your picture is just too cute. So strut your stuff....

Oh by the way, where are you going on your trip this year???

    • My wedding anniversary is December 23. (I love winter!)  But right now, I am in the process of planning my 22 y/o Omar’s wedding in West Palm Beach for December 28th.  So, our trip will be postponed until afterwards.  I haven’t even had time to think of a place to go yet!

    • I’ve been eyeing the animal print shoes at White House/Black Market, too! I used to shop at the one in Laguna Beach, I think it may have been the original? It was a little hole in the wall, one side of the store had white things the other side had black things. I loved that store. As pitiful as it is here for shopping we have a place, The Shops At Wailea, that is almost all high end stores. When I go there I wander around, go into White House/Black Market, Coach, the art galleries, and just imagine I’m back on the mainland at Fashion Island or South Coast Plaza.

      Oh, to dream!

I just checked their website and the original White House was opened in Baltimore. Now, as Whie House/Black Market it is owned by Chicos.

I will find a deal... My husband Don’s quote is... ,“How do you save me money by spending money.”  haha. You mentioned the art galleries... Love to go to them also.

I do not know if I could ever go shopping if I had your life. Between Chocolate and Hawaii... You must of done something really right... The stars are looking down on you. So shine girl shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Why on earth are you banned from heels?  When I don’t want a necessarily high heel, I am so happy with a kitten heel.  Those are PURRRFECT and comfortable and a great substitute for high heels!
