My husband and I are having our one year anniversary soon. I want to do something really special for him to show him how much our relationship means to me and how much I adore him. He has filled me with so much love and joy, and I want to show him that I am just as excited to be with him today as I was on our wedding day.

Does anyone have any romantic ideas?

    • First of all...HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

I suggest a “coupon book“.  Instead of something store-bought“, you could make a coupon book of things your husband would like you to do.  Like you could give him a back rub, or do some of his household chores for the day.
I think no matter what you put in the coupon book, he’ll appreciate the time and effort you took into making it.
My husband I will be celebrating an anniversary soon as well.  It’ll be our 15th!

    • That always does the trick.  Leave the baby at home.

      Have fun and Happy Anniversary!

    • wow, those are all great ideas. And happy soon to be anniversaries ljb and carine. thats amazing!

I love the coupon book idea. its so cute and romantic. and trying to get away and do a nice romantic dinner would be great. but i’m still scared to leave the baby. so this brings on another issue. at what point did you guys feel comfortable leaving your baby to get away and how did you go about it?

    • I always felt funny leaving mine, too, and even a little selfish!  But I had a mother-in-law who raised several children, so I figured she could handle it once every 4-6 weeks!

Do you have any family who would take the baby for a few hours?  It’s good for the child, too!  It helps them to get used to a little separation, which makes everything easier, especially when they start school.

Of course, mine are teens now and I spend most of my time running away from them.
