OK - Whew - with all that has happened in the last few months, I thought it was finally time to breathe - nah, God has diffrent plans for me.

Last night I found out that my father has Thyroid cancer and because of his condition, most likely will not be a candidate for surgery.  Rolling up sleeves and diggin in to find out different alternatives.

Hubby came home to tell me that he started smoking again and its ok because I should be proud of him because he only had 4 cigarettes today.  Restraining myself from killing him!

Daughter came home from school and forgot to tell me that she needs $$$$$ ASAP for class trip, graduation, etc. and the mortgage is due.  Resisting the urge to run to the liquor store and buy their biggest bottle of everything.

Lying in bed last night, my little one told me a secret, "Mom, sometimes I feel like people are walking with me and are standing behind me."  "Honey, they're your guardian angels."  Stopping myself from jumping off a bridge.

But for some reason God has chosen this period to be a difficult one for me and I’m up for it and will tackle it head on like a linebacker!!!!

    • That’s a lot going on!  But really, you should be proud of your husband for only having four cigarettes.  We all know how hard it can be to quit smoking.  At least he was trying.

And hey, there’s nothing wrong with going to the liquor store and having a nice, quiet large bottle of something.

My prayers go out to your dad and your family.

    • Ok maybe I’m reading this wrong but it sounds like God has given you plenty sense of humor. He never gives more than you can bear. Just smile even when you feel like crying, He’s got you covered!
