Eating meat is work, it takes more chewing and then it takes a lot of energy to process that which you’ve chewed. Consequently, you get sluggish shortly after the feast and sometimes it’s the next day before you recognize the situation.

Today makes the second day that there was no meat in my diet. I’m excited to see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow. This morning when I opened my eyes I felt light, fresh and lively. I jumped up and with careful consideration I attributed this lightness to the fact that yesterday all I ate was grains and sugar (bad girl) but I had a great day and some fun!

    • LOL, sounds great! There are days where I don’t eat meat either, I’m really growing tired of beef and pork, I feel me leaning towards the poultry, fish and grains and besides I could seriously stand to lose some pounds lol.

    • Lolol.  I baked a what was supposed to be a spinach lasagna today.  When I told hubbie what I was baking today he exclaimed “waite, where is the polutry in that“.  I cracked up because hubbie was not having spinach lasagna without no meat so I did put in some ground chicken.  Father’s day this year was the first time I ate some pork from since last January.  I am seriously cutting out all the red meat.  Way to go girls, we can do it.   Neicy you are a case, you made me laugh.

    • My doctor just introduced me to myfitnesspal, it is an application you can download to your phone or do it online at www.myfitnesspal.com.  You set your weight goal, it calculates how much calories you should consume in a day, yu plug in what you eat and it substracts your calories for you letting you know all day long how much more you can consume.  It is fun and it keeps you on track.  My doctor lost 11 pounds in two weeks.  I followed it for a week and lost 1  1/2 it works plus I did not do the excecises but coupled with exercises you will do well.  Good luck.
