This is the first time I write a blog. I have always been fascinated by the people that can commit to writing one everyday and although I am sure I am not one of them I will try to keep it up as best I can because I can see the therapeutic benefits and sounds like fun.

I am a 43 year old mom, I live in Miami with two of my three adorable sons, the oldest is 23 and on his own. I moved here about 7 years ago from my native country of Puerto Rico. I am at the moment separated which I have been for many years and have been in a relationship for almost a year. My current boyfriend(silly word at 40 but what can I do?) he is in his 40s too and a wonderful man and we will discuss him further into our blogging relationship. Currently I am unemployed but very busy fixing my house in the aftermath of various years of depression and not caring now I do care.

Tomorrow is the first day of school for my youngest, he starts high school. That has me thinking of him in a very nostalgic way, his first day of school ever and the way he looked when I left him behind. I think I will cry tomorrow as much as that day. I truly miss my babies. This mothering thing is very curious thing never ever imagining just how many different feelings are involved and how complicated it is. I am happy I had them young, I am happy I waited 4 years in between having them to enjoy all of them equally and I really enjoy their adulthood I just miss everyday of their past as well. Wow I think I need grandkids.

Well I think that for today I have written enough, I can see why this is beneficial, t is a torrent of thoughts that you can share with people that never asked if they could.

    • You did a great job with your first blog! You Go Girl! So you have a boyfriend it sounds just fine.

Children nowadays are growing up so quickly in this fast paced society that all you can do is enjoy the time you spend with them.

Good luck tomorrow taking your son to school, and shed tears of happiness, and not of joy- because you did a great job as a mother. All of your children are beautiful, and I can not wait to hear more about them.

    • Dear Ivia,

I can completely relate to your nostalgia when tomorrow comes....Kids grow up so fast.

As parents if we do a good job they move out and build their own lives as we stay by them watching and being proud.

As for your boyfriend, age is just a number, see my recent blog On Dating Younger Men

Wishing you all the best, and hope to see LOTS of you on our space.
