Children’s Day is celebrated on April 4 each year (the same day as the Republic of China (Taiwan) since ROC established the Children’s Day on April 4 in 1931.) The practice is still observed by both the Hong Kong SAR Government and the public after the handover in 1997, though this festival has not been a public holiday before the handover.
I remembered when I was a child, I was so happy about Children’s Day. I thought it was International till now, that it is just for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
I could not remember if there were activities and I am sure there would be some and I just forgot.
It appears that every country has its own Children’s Day.
Anyhow, no matter how young or how old we are, we need to celebrate and embrace the child that is within us.
How would you celebrate? I think I will get an soft ice cream cone and lick it away.
