Musings from the "Health Nut"...  

I have struggled with weight issues for years. Even though my ‘health’ journey started ten or more years ago, being able to take off the matronly pounds was not something I had been able to accomplish just by eating more healthy.

I have finally found the answer to being lean for life without completely giving up all the foods I love. I have invested quite a bit of time and money educating myself and earning certifications to be a weight management coach. Instead of charging for coaching, I'd like to pay it forward. I have been blessed in so many ways to regain my health (and now my figure.) I started a group called Lean for Life to share with others what I have learned regarding weight vs fat loss. Naturally, some of the wellness consulting I do will spill over. I am not a doctor however, and all recommendations will just be based on what I personally would do for myself.  

I have learned to give up foods that aren’t healthy, but I still indulge myself often enough to not feel deprived. Chocolate is a staple in my house! :)
Over the past year, I have lost over 40 lbs, and now weigh less than I did when I got married. I still have some flab to tone up, but during my fat loss journey I have managed not to lose any thing but fat. Most people lose a combination of both. In a study conducted, the ‘placebo’ group who simply cut calories lost 50 percent fat and 50 percent muscle! The ‘test’ group cut the same amount of calories, but also supplemented with a protein peptide product called Osolean. That group lost 100 percent fat, and NO lean muscle. When I added Osolean to my routine, I was able to lose the tummy fat that had been lingering with me. I lost 5 inches off the muffin top in less than 8 weeks!  

Our Lean For Life group is small but growing. We’d love to have you join us. We are kicking off the holidays by having an encouragement call this Wednesday night. Don’t wait until January to decide to make lifestyle changes to be more healthy. Resolve now to not pack on the extra holiday pounds and to be healthy. While I am encouraging others to eat more healthy, I have asked for encouragement in the exercise department which is my weakness.
