Ok it’s only 930 in the morning and I want to vent somethiing fierce...tongue out

Why do we forget to look at the “automatic renewal’ section of anything we sign up for?

My complaint is CLASSMATES web site...Other companies give you a notice saying we are going to renew you..this particular website doesnt...and they dont give refunds...

Ugghh...I dont know who to be more aggravated with me or THEM..me because I  got hooked in or them for their auto renewal policy..I have decided that if I want to pay for a service..they only get my money if they don’t auto renew..unless its something that I REALLY
enjoy and wont loose interest after a few months...

This has been a stressful year, and so many people out of work...companies taking advantage of people...am I looking at it the wrong way or just forget the 30 or more dollars they sucked from me-due to my not reading the “fine” print...I guess I am frustrated because this happenned with Smilebox too...not my year for online subscriptions...

    • Good point, Sandra. The other thing they “get us” on is when they have, say, the first month free but you have to give them your credit card info. So if you forget to cancel after your free month, you get charged. And no no no, they don’t send you reminders!

Thanks for the tip - we do need to make sure we don’t “uncheck” the auto-renew button when we sign up for stuff!

      Hello Sandra,

Thank you for your reply. I apologize if this matter has caused you any frustration.
Because members are informed that their credit card will be charged on their renewal date during the initial payment process, we do not send an additional reminder. Many members prefer to reduce the paperwork and email that they must deal with on a regular basis.

I understand your concerns about your Classmates Gold membership. I have reviewed your request and will make an exception to our policy and process a refund for the time remaining on your Gold membership term, in the amount of $38.26.

Your credit will be processed by Classmates immediately. Please note that the timing of your credit will depend on your financial institution.

You may continue to use your FREE membership benefits at Classmates.com. As a free member, you're still listed on Classmates.com and will continue to receive email notifications about your account activity.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please reply directly to this email and let us know.
      Sincerely,
      Classmates.com
