Good morning everyone!

I don’t know about all of you-but I sort of “fell” of the fitness wagon last week.  In all honesty, most of it wasn’t my doing.  As you know, I had the unfortunate timing of getting really sick with the latest and greatest “viral syndrome” on my birthday.  

No usual power-walking done here.  In fact, the most exercise I actually got was yesterday when my daughter and I went to Costco to pick up some chickens, La Brea artisan bread, spinach, tomatoes and bruschetta so I wouldn’t have to cook for 8.

We walked around the entire store-no easy feat, as those of you who went to Costco can attest too.

We had a lovely visit with our daughter, son-in-law and grandsons-especially the extra day they decided to spend with us.  They literally pulled out of the driveway about 30 minutes before I sat down to write this morning’s column.

This week, I’m sure we all need to get back on schedule with our regular “good” food choices and “good” exercise routines.

I’m very proud of my husband-despite the kids, the food and the upset in schedules he continued to use the treadmill throughout the entire time.

With that said-tonight I’ve decided to serve a whole wheat pasta and seared tuna/tomato dinner with some steamed broccoli.
