I have been painting our den and making it into a room for our grand daughter now that I have guardianship of her. I painted a mural on one wall of flowers and butterflies. As I was doing this labor of love, I realized that I love being a Grandma better than being a Mom. I love my kids and I am glad I had them but they are all in their twenties and their lives are so full of drama. All it takes is one of my grand daughter’s smiles and it lights up my day. She is 6 months old and her needs are very simple. She just wants to be cared for and loved. I guess that is where she and I are very much the same. We all just  want to be cared for and loved. I am glad God gave me the opportunity to care for this sweet little angel.
