I am somewhat scared of my upcoming shopping trip because I need to find two items that I am not really crazy about shopping for or wearing: a swimsuit and a cocktail dress (for a very dressy evening wedding). I have not bought either item in years, especially the swimsuit, it’s been many years and many sizes ago (which is good, I think the last suit I had was about 12 or 14), I am now about 8-10).

I have a general idea what I want in a swimsuit: a swimdress that will cover my hips and more because the skin in my inner thigh area is very saggy. I have seen several online but I know a swimsuit is something you have to try on, sizing really varies, kinda like bying jeans, each brand is different. As for the evening dress, that scares me too, because my budget is small and I know I will be around some pretty ritzy folks in some expensive clothing. That may sound silly but I do not want to look cheap. I want to buy something nice but I may never wear this thing again so really, my practical size is coming out big time LOL!!! I have already looked online at most of the major stores but found nothing that exciting, hope now in person that will be different.  Wish me luck :)

    • Well S I suppose you know to get something classic and black. Both of those things will help you from looking like you are wearing something cheap. A simple black cocktail dress can be worn to many different functions depending on what you accessorize with.
As for the bathing suit...good for you that it’s a smaller size. I’m not sure where to tell you to look. I usually buy mine in pieces so it fits me better. And I usually wear board shorts with mine unless I’m actually going in for a dip.

I wish you luck in your shopping pursuits!
