I got to thinking today about Blogs, yes the good ol’ blog, which in some cases can really wreak havoc on relationships, marriages, families, co-workers and friends.  How did this come about?  Who had this idea?  I know that there are the facts about blogging...how it came to be, etc...but my question is WHY?...have we progressed so much that picking up a telephone (not a cell) and hearing a voice, heading down to a neighbor’s house to chat, picking up a friend, is a thing of the past.  I am not much of a blogger and probably never will be and I miss the days of physical and verbal interaction with loved ones, friends and yes even my hubby who has now picked up the art of texting constantly on his cell phone....lol..private joke..anyway, life is hectic and technology makes it easier for everyone, but honestly ask yourself what you really crave next time you start to Blog.

Peace xx

    • i like to text! my husband doesnt! I am not much of a verbal communicator and prefer writing! my husband hates to write! and is verbal. I like blogging mainly to express myself thru the written word. i worry that kids will not know how to communicate BUT right now i have a house FULL of teenagers and they are all noisy and laughing..so i guess texting hasnt totally killed the art of talking to each other face to face.

    • Good Blog!

I’m not really much of a writer and conformed to texting while I was still working. It along with email allowed me to communicate 1 message without repeating myself over n over. Also it was handy as a form of confirmation of communication. By texting and emailing a lot of my communications it allowed me to better focus on individual needs without having to communicate all the other stuff.

I never used to journal either until a few years ago after reading Eat, Pray, Love. Then I started to journal daily on things I am grateful for. I still do that journal daily. I have attempted to journal on diet and exercise but I am resistant therefore just not ready to face my demons (coke chocolate and chips).

When I blog I usually do it because I want to share something that I felt was appropriate for the time. If you look at most of my blogs they are usually silly or positive quotes with a real story thrown in to show I am human.

I don’t think I could ever make a living out of blogging or that I would even want to. Most of the time when I do post something I find it’s because I find it funny.

Blogging, texting and emailing has not allowed me to escape real human contact or communication. But has allowed me to get rid of some of the junk floating around in my brain allowing me to focus better in person.

    • I blog to get things out and let it go.

My hubby and I talk as do our kids. But, sometimes always talking about me and my MS gets us all down. So, blogging allows me to vent elsewhere, talk about the tough things. This way I get it out and leave the good stuff for the family.

For me it also a way to help others maybe going through similar things. I have a friend who says she relies on my blogs to make her smile. Even on my worst days I find the humor and it taught her to look for it as well.
