Interestingly, I would here my patients comment about how they feel that they feel more relaxed, less anxious, less stressed, and even less angry after they’ve been injected with Botox. I always thought it was interesting but never really gave it much thought. Recently, I learned that there has been some scientific and medical research looking at this relationship. Apparently, some of the early data suggest that indeed Botox can potentially have a positive impact on your mood, even in individuals diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder. Just out of curiosity, has any one noticed this effect after a botox treatment?
I had botox only once and I did notice an overall feeling of wellness. I think I attributed it to my laser facials I was having at the time. But since those really are uncomfortable it could have been the botox.
Do you think it’s the Botox itself, or is it the fact that by doing something you feel is improving your appearance, it naturally lifts your spirits and makes you feel better, both mentally and physically?
Just a thought.
Haven’t tried it yet. (Botox that is.) I WILL though! lol
As for prozac and things of that nature, no thanks.
Looking into trying Botox.....was on Prozac a couple of years ago......hated it. I took myself off of it.
xoxo
BTW I have never done prozac so I don’t have that as a comparison.
I did look great while getting those laser facials. And my family still swears the botox is stopping the furrow between my brow (it’s been2 yrs).
I would get laser facials now but they are sooooo expensive and I didn’t have to pay for them before.
Never done Botox, Prozac scares the heck out of me but I love going for beauty treatments like facials, massage, pedicures. Those alone give me a feeling of well being.
I have Botox done about once a year and ive been doing it for prob. the last 8 yrs. I love it!! I think more than anything I feel better about myself. What Happy said ~ You look better You feel better!
