After birthing 3 children and breastfeeding each, my bras are an issue! Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get a great fitting bra?
We all know winter is coming, and would like to wear those nice sweaters, but with the bras I have, I really don’t want to show that I appear to have 3 Boobs! I can’t stand it when I bend over to pick something up and one, (mostly the left one), falls out! I really can’t stand it when they fall beneath the underwire! That makes 4 Boobs! Any advice would be helpful, I am sure to a lot of us over 40 crowd. Thanks.

    • Have you ever had a professional bra fitting? IT is amazing. I would always go to Victoria Secrets and the girls there fitted me for a 36C. The cups would loose shape or it would always ride up in the back, etc...

Well, after proper fitting, I am in a 32E. I know sounds crazy but true.  I have got alot of my friends to do it and all my friends have amazing results.

Check around your town. Oprah did a whole show about this about a year ago. You will love the results!!!

I turned my friend on to them last year and she always thanks me for the inexpensive boob job. She has a whole new confidence that just cracks me up all due the help of Victoria!

    • As suggested, a professional fitting is essential...especially if things are falling below the underwire!  Properly fitted, THAT would never happen!

As i’ve aged and “the girls” have migrated south, i’ve decided that money is no object when buying foundational garments.  Don’t be held off by by price...you’ll love how everything else looks if you don’t skimp on the foundation of it all.

A well-fitting bra will also make you look slimmer!

    • Well......I read somewhere that most women are walking around wearing the wrong bra.  I believe that.

I understand where you are coming from.  But I did decide to do something different.  I had a breast reduction in Dec. of 2006.  Besides my hysterectomy...it was one of the best surgeries I could have had.  When I would lean over...my breast look like tits on a cow....no joke.  I hated it....and they were large as well. All from the fine births of my boys.  I was never large prior to the births.

I was having a lot of back trouble....getting massages about every two weeks...going to the chiropracter at least twice a month....etc.  So finally a friend of mine suggested I at least go talk to a plastic surgeon and so I did.  After examining me..he said he definitely could help me...plus since I had records from chiropracter and so forth..and because of my size...my insurance approved it.  I was out a good two weeks from work....should have stayed out longer.  But...since my surgery...I’ve been to the chiropracter twice since Dec. 2006 and I rarely have back trouble anymore.

But I still try to get a very good bra.  Now...I do not like bras with wires.  They tend to hurt me...but I love my new size..which is a small C.

      Get a good bra.....

    • There are no “Bra Worlds” around here as far as I know. I wish there was! But it seems a professional fitting would be the answer. Thank you.

    • Back trouble has been an issue for years. Chiropractors, X-rays, etc. Never thought it could be my boobs! Time I got a proffesional into this! A litle bit awkward though. Hate Mamograms. Hurt like hell. Last one, thought my nipples were going to shoot thru the wall! And the bruising afterward could not have been good for me. But a simple tape measure should be O.K. Thanks  very much for your input.

    • I buy mine online at www.biggerbras.com or www.herroom.com

There is one that not only gives GREAT support but also looks great under t’s and sweaters.  It’s manufactured by LeMystere (I think that is the spelling!)  There is one for smaller builds called the Tisha and the same one for larger builds called the Dream Tisha.

I LOVE it. It is the first bra I’ve ever owned that not only keeps me from sagging but feels good (and sexy) when I wear it.

    • Apparently, there are a lot of women with this problem. I do thank each of you for your input. Many options I never knew existed. Not like just walking into a Walmart and grabbing one that looked good off the shelf! Did VS, off the rack, JCPenney, off the rack, etc. But where there is a pro, is where I will be! Thanks again all!

We are all in the same boat. I find that lace full bras give me more support. Marshal’s has a great selection if you take the time to rummage through the good, bad, beautiful and ugly choices.

I like the comfort fit with underwire, but get fitted, you may have grown a cup and you have to be comfortable.

Also, do you know how to put on a bra ?  Once you put the bra on... you bend forward and let your breasts fall into the bra.  My Grandmother showed me that trick, works great.

    • Macy’s also has professional fitters. I walked into the department one day and the sales lady took one look at me and said I was wearing the wrong size bra. I hadn’t even taken my shirt off yet!
