On my Twitter page, I had a new follower (can’t find the name now!) and we were exchanging our views about needing to liven up our breakfasts in a new and still healthy way.  I wound up going to her site and she gave some unique “bowls” of cereal.

I did try the “pumpkin bread bowl“-more of a pudding,I liked it for the most part (filled with fiber, pumpkin and spices)but dh did not.

We both love peanut butter and chocolate-so I’m thinking sometime this next week, I’m going to give this high protein, oatmeal bowl a try-more of a cookie actually!

serves 1
1/2 C rolled oats
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 C mashed banana (you could use applesauce or other mashed fruit)
1/4 C milk of your choice (I use unsweetened vanilla almond)
1-2 packets of your favorite sweetener (if using liquid cut back on the milk by 2 tbsp.)
1/8 tsp salt
1-2 tbsp. p-nut butter (or any other nut butter)
1 tbsp. cocoa powder
1-2 tbsp. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 380. combine everything well.  if the pb is to solid-zap it for a few seconds to make it easier to combine. pour into a greased 1 C ramekin and bake for 20 minutes or more until it’s firm.  Next step is optional-but if you like a crispy top-broil for 3 minutes.  Or you can just bake it a few more minutes.

Sounds like a breakfast Reese’s cup to me!
