Last year I got involved with the 3-day events by walking in Chicago. This year I am continuing my endeavors by heading off to San Diego in November and using my nursing education to work on the Medical Crew.
Why I got involved?
I had a good friend that I met while we served in a local Naval Reserve unit, at that time she was cancer free for approximately 3 years. Eventually she celebrated five years cancer free, but soon it was found again and this time it was in her bone marrow. Two years ago this November she lost her fight. She was a single mother and left behind two young daughters.
I also am walking because another friend from high school is fighting a reoccurance in her bones.
But there are so many more, and many who don’t have the ability to get screening. Please help me by donating if you can at: [Link Removed]

thank you for doing this , my mother died 2yrs ago from an aggresive form of breast cancer, my grandmother also when i was a child.
