Red light therapy is sweeping through the skin care industry and creating quite a buzz among clients and celebrities. You'll find it in spas, doctor's offices, skin care clinics, and even tanning salons. So, why is this seemingly simple alternative popping up everywhere and does it really work?

It's shining its healing light in every skin care nook and cranny because it really does work, it's incredibly safe, and it's super simple to use.

Red LEDs (light emitting diodes) in specific wavelengths (625-660 nanometers) in combination with yellow LEDs (570 + nanometers) and infrared LEDs (850 + nanometers) penetrate into the skin and easily permeate your cells. Once inside, the reparative lights go to work healing, repairing, sparking cellular energy, increasing collagen and elastin production, and boosting circulation. In essence, as your cells are engulfed in these wavelengths they begin to act younger creating a chain reaction which results in your skin looking and feeling younger.

This technology has not only been found to be extremely effective but has also been found to be irrefutably safe, meaning you can use this therapy in your own home with no training, no pain, no downtime, and no risky side effects.
Because this therapy has such rave reviews, home systems are popping up constantly making you question which ones are truly effective and worth the investment.

There are several systems that have risen to the top because they are so effective, are high quality, FDA cleared, have an extraordinary reputation, and have amazing testimonials. You will find this handful of exceptional home systems be visiting [Link Removed]

The results you can achieve with red light therapy aren't just pie in the sky, hopeful wishing. There is a great deal of research backing this growing field and the evidence just keeps getting stronger and better as to the potential with LED light therapy.

One study evaluated subjects who received 9 LED treatments over the course of 5 weeks. These individuals were then assessed 12 weeks after treatments while a handful of individuals were also biopsied to determine if there were any changes to the collagen fibers.

The results of the study revealed a significant improvement in wrinkles, skin softness, smoothness, and firmness. The biopsies showed evidence of thicker collagen fibers post LED treatment.

Another study looked at cultured fibroblasts (fibroblasts are responsible for the production of collagen and elastin.) Subjects were treated with LEDs in several wavelengths; 950 nanometers, 660 nanometers, and 570 nanometers. Statistical analysis showed a higher rate of proliferation in all LED exposed cultures in comparison with the controls. A higher rate of proliferation in fibroblasts means an increase in collagen and elastin production which in turn results in fewer lines and wrinkles as well as a reduction in existing wrinkles.
