I did something so stupid today. I took a nap! Now....as a result... I Can’t sleep! I am sitting up in bed, watching the World Series ( Go Phillies !!!!) writing on my laptop, rockin out to old Diana Ross songs...LOL
I have a big day tomorrow ...I highly advertised an Open house for one of my lisitng tomorrow. It says I will serve refreshments, so I have to leave early to take care of all that and hang balloons on my signs to grab attention...FUN!
If you read this...pray i get some sleep, i am wide awake. I came home from food shopping this afternoon, put everything away and no one was home...it was rainy and dreary and i thought....“Let’s us go up and lie down and watch a movie” 2 hours later i woke up disoriented and confused...I never nap like that during the day. Oh well..i guess i needed it. Anyway...enough idle rambling...
Gonna try and turn off the comp, the music and just watch the Phillies win.

    • I love naps.....took one tonight about an two hours ago..and now I’m back up...but I’m heading to bed in just a few.  When I’m off on WEd. afternoons and I don’t have any errands or appts. to do...I come home...eat a bite for lunch and then either lay on my bed or on the sofa...and take me a long needed nap.  If I sleep...then I say I needed the sleep.  

      I think the older we get...naps help us.  Some of us lose sleep due to aches and pains....etc...therefore...we sleep when we can.  

      Don’t beat yourself up over it Marie...you obviously needed it.
      Listen to your body....

    • I have a strict rule... I am never allowed to take naps, because of this exact reason.

      Usually I end up awake until about 5 am, get 2 or 3 hours of heavy sleep then drudge through the day, looking forward to an early night. That is my only solution.

    • As long as I don’t jack up my schedule with a nap, I typically sleep like a rock.

      When my sleep is disrupted, I can usually pinpoint the ‘why‘.

      Naps have been dangerous for me for years, though. Unless I have a couple of days to get my system back on track, I won’t take a nap.
