Love it

Well, I’m not sure if this would actually be in the entertainment category, but where else would it be under?
Since we are all 40 and over, someone MUST of heard of the Banana Splitz and Wonderama! Do you ladies remember this?
Does it bring back some nice memories when you were  youngster?

Do you remember being excited early Saturday morning and couldn’t wait to get out of bed to watch these programs?

Love it

    • Oh. My. God. You are the first person ever outside of my best friend to know what Wonderama was!! Remember when he'd go thru the crowd and sing, "Have you heard any good news today, today. I wanna hear what you have to say. Wait til I get to the count of three, and tell me all the good news you have for me!" and then the kids in the audience would tell him they got a bike or were getting a kid sister.

(sheepishly) Uh, yeah, I think I heard of that show...

In California, we had a show that was Spanish and English called Carrascolindas. I loved that show, it taught you to speak Spanish and it was fun.
How about SchoolHouse Rock? I’m just a bill, yes I’m only a bill.....or Conjunction Junction, whats your function?

I also remember Wonderama VERY well.

HR Puffinstuff was another fav of mine.  The cute kid who played Jack died a few years ago.  He was a heavy smoker and suffered from cancer.

Anyone remember The Fraggles?  How about New Zoo Revue?

He used to say things like, “now little Johnny, look under your mom’s bed and there’s a present there.” I used to ask my mom why I never had a present under her bed. Someone please remember this guy. It’s driving me crazy.

Remember What’s my line and Queen for a day?

And my mom exercised to Jack La Lane

Not funny, but when my husband would say something rude or disrespectful his name was Mr. Bunker!

It was an episode where they were talking about using computers for matchmaking. I don’t ever remember hearing about computers back then and if I had, I probably thought they were just science fiction like on my brother’s favorite show, Star Trek.

Back then, TV was the babysitter and the shows at least had something positive to teach viewers. It’s amazing to remember the child I once was and how so much has changed.
