Laugh Lines Can Be Made To Appear Much Less Noticeable

Expression lines around the eyes can begin to form when you‘re in your twenties so by the time you’ve passed age 35 you are very likely to be seeing quite a bit of crinkled skin around your eye area when you smile or squint. The rule of thumb to remember her is that smiling is great to do and looks wonderful on a woman - while squinting is just the opposite. If you find that you‘re squinting, or being told that you are by others, get your eyes examined by a doctor and then also remember to wear sunglasses when outdoors and/or driving.

However, even though we may all get laugh lines at one point or another in life, it’s not something that we simply have to live with and work around. Not at all. There are lots of great products on the market that target the eye area specifically, spa treatments and options at a doctor’s office that can all make your eyes appear fresh, relaxed and considerably less dry and wrinkled.

Quick Eye Treatment

One very easy way to combat dryness around the eyes is to make a quick eye treatment. Just mash a ripe avocado or two and apply it to your cleansed face, neck, decollete and very carefully around the eye area. You can also mix in plain yogurt with the avocado or witch hazel, but, to keep things super simple, I’m suggesting the quickest way to get the results you want.

Do this before your shower and let the mask stay on your skin for at least 15 minutes or more if you have time. Rinse thoroughly. Now hit the shower.

Towel off, and apply toner to your skin head to toe, with as little wait time as possible. Include the area around the eyes, which is fine if you use care not to get the product into the eyes. Unless you have very sensitive skin, this should be fine, and in fact is extremely beneficial. It is what I do and my eyelids are smooth without injections and I’ve had no surgery to my eye area at all. Using facial treatments on the eye areas is something I swear by, ladies.

You can always use witch hazel as a toner without drying your skin, and it’s especially delightful if you chill whatever toner you choose to use, first. How? You don’t need to put a refrigerator in your bathroom unless you actually want to do that. What you can do instead is get an ice bucket you’d use for wine, put your bottle of toner in, and cover it with ice. Do this a couple of hours or more before your facial and by the time you allow the mask to set, and then shower, your toner will be refreshingly cold. It’s slightly bracing, in a pleasant way. My only warning is that once you spoil yourself doing this, you won’t want room temperature toner ever again.

Now back to the method. You must use a good serum for your skin type before applying moisturizer. It’s an important skin care step you should not skip. Let that absorb in for at least one minute. Then apply your usual moisturizing cream/lotion to seal in the nutrients.

All of your face makeup, including eye makeup, will go on smoother and there will be a nice glow to your skin you’ll love.
