This is a newsletter that my church sends out weekly.  Click on the links to read the article that was posted in the Augusta Chronicle newspaper just last Sat.  Then read all of the posts commenting on the project that was done at our local First Friday event downtown in Augusta, GA.  Every first Friday of the month, the downtown riverfront area opens up like a mini festival.  This confession booth was set up during this event.

Here is the newsletter:

We kicked off our new series ‘‘Confessions of a Christian Church‘’ on our NA campus last weekend with a BANG! (If you missed it, TNC-CC kicks off this Sunday!) The attendance was high, the spirit alive and the service was powerful! We had many visitors on campus, including one lady who was in town with her daughter from Greenville , SC. She was so deeply touched that she told me she would make the weekly trip from Greenville to North Augusta to attend TrueNorth if she could afford the gas! Our service wasn’t the only buzz!

This series has created A BIG TIME STIR in our local papers, on the internet and was even talked about this week on NewsRadio 1230.  Here are the two links to the local paper article and internet banter: [Link Removed]

The North Augusta Today had an article about our new campus in Illinois as well! You can check that article out at [Link Removed]

This should encourage all of us to be on the alert for opportunities to share and invite people to join us at TNC this Sunday!  I said this before we started this series and I still believe it, God is going to use this series to create an awakening in our people and to change the lives of many people in our area! Let me encourage you to PRAY (AND PRAY SOME MORE), Invite Others to TNC, and be transparent in your conversation when the opportunity arises for you to talk with others about this series.

I can’t wait for the weekend! Remember CHICKS (All ladies) will be cookin’ at the Depot from 9:00 - 11:30 am.  SECOND SATURDAY will begin at 8:30 am (finish up at noon) for both campuses as we make a difference in our community.  Finally, don’t miss bringing someone with you to our CONFESSIONS OF A CHRISTIAN CHURCH series - God has much in store for all of us!

See you Sunday!
