I love women’s circles.  If you’ve ever participated in a women’s circle, whether at a retreat or event, you might know the wonderful feeling you can receive from the experience of sitting with other women and sharing.

Have you ever noticed how women love to talk and share? I think this is because we learn so much from the process of just talking and sharing, of getting our feelings out and having them heard, so important.

Throughout my life I have had many opportunities for sharing in these environments. Sometimes I was at a place where I only wanted to listen, and not share. Other times I felt like sharing and it felt empowering for me to speak in front of the group and to feel supported.

I now lead women’s circle groups, adding some structure, making sure everyone shares, and adding coaching like questions to deepen understanding and further action ideas. I think the bonding between the women, the “ah ha” moments, the “I’m not alone in this” feelings are priceless.

I’d like to encourage every woman to experience a women’s circle. If you are in the Auburn/Sacramento California area contact me and I’ll get you the hook up. We women are the nurturers.  Let’s nurture ourselves and each other in community.

    • I feel like Fab40 is a womens circle. I can ‘listen’ or ‘share’ whenever I feel like it. And there is feedback as well. I have felt a wonderful connection since joining this site 7 mos ago.
So I agree with you on connecting thru womens circles. I’m just sorry your not in my neck of the woods.

    • Yes I love women circles as well and I agree with Vikki FAB is a circle for woman to share, listen, advise or not, but I also found in my personal walk, some women just don’t fit in its not for everyone.

    • Thanks Vickki and yes, I guess that was my sort of vague point I was making estatic that this format is a women’s circle as well and acknowledging that value. Our society has become one of so many virtual activiites, including virtual women’s circles such as this. I am grateful for these places of support and avenues of being heard. And I also feel there is value in a physical group. All good. Thanks for reading.
